2026 Dress Rehearsal Information
Dress Rehearsal Date: May 26-May 29(see Dress Rehearsal schedule)
Location: Studio 5-6-7-8
*Students should arrive 5 minutes prior to scheduled time in costume, make up, and ready to perform.
*We will have one class in the big room at a time to run thru the dance in costume.
*If your child has back to back classes, we will have portable pop-up dressing tents set up in Room 3. A parent can help change their dancer’s costume. Older students with back to back routines will be allowed to change costumes themselves.
4. For dress rehearsal you can watch your child on the lobby tvs or view through the observation window.
Important details to remember at dress rehearsal:
- Food is strictly prohibited. Water bottles should have full name on outside.
- Please remember the rehearsal and recital have different schedules, times and location!!! We don’t want your child to miss out on this fun performance.
- Attendance is very important for those performing in recital. Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time in costume and makeup. Unfortunately, we can’t wait on late dancers.
- We’ve given each class a 15 minute rehearsal block. We advise parents stay in their vehicles or in the lobby and wait. Some classes get done quickly.
2026 Dance Recital Information
Dance Recital Date: Saturday, May 30(see Show schedule) 3 shows: 1PM, 3PM, 5PM
Location: Yukon Fine Arts Auditorium, 850 Yukon Ave., Yukon
We have 3 Shows for this recital to reduce the number of dancers and spectators in the building at one time. Dancers will enter with one chaperone thru West backstage entrance. The chaperone will need a ticket to enter.
There will be signs posted. These shows will go quickly. Parents with children in multiple routines in one show, will need to quickly exit audience after they dance and head to dressing area to help their child change costumes. Dancers are welcome to wear nude Leos under their costumes.
Finale
We will be doing a quick finale at the end of each show. Students will be dismissed to a parent after the finale. If you have a child in a Twinkle Star class, your child’s teacher will give you specific instructions for recital pickup/drop off.
Tickets
The recital fee, which is $35 per dancer and drafts May 1, will include 3 tickets. These will be sent home with students in May. Your account must be in good standing in order for your child to participate and for the tickets to be released.
Additional tickets will be available to purchase at the front desk and at the show. $10 in advance $12 at show. Dancers and children 5 and under do not need a ticket.
Make up * Make up is applied so dancers don’t look washed out or shiny on stage. Girls: Preschool make-up: red lipstick, blush, brown eye-shadow, mascara
School age and up: Foundation/powder, Red lipstick, blush, mascara and eyeliner or fake lashes, smoky shadow (browns).
Boys: no make up, but can use bronzer if needed
Costumes and accessories
- Write names in all costumes, shoes, and accessories
- Have all costumes and accessories ready for dress rehearsal and pictures
- Undergarments will be specified by instructor. Young dancers do not need to wear underwear underneath costumes worn with tights. Their tights will be sufficient. Older female dancers will wear tights or skin toned, no show underwear.
- Tights have been provided for classes that need them, so every child in the class has same color.
- No gum, jewelry, or bold nail polish allowed
General Information
*NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED!! We want to leave the auditorium just as we found it, free of trash and stains from drink spills.
* No flash photography and No videoing show with phone or video camera. The flash of the camera and the movement of audience members is distracting to both the audience and those performing. Put down your phone and just enjoy it!! (:
****We are having someone professionally video the shows. Links will be sent out to the email on file after the shows are edited! (Editing the show typically takes a few weeks.)
*No Glitter or confetti & No reserving seats for show. There is no need for guests to arrive more than 15 minutes early. Because we have split the recital up into 3 shows, there will be plenty of seats for everyone. The auditorium seats almost 3000 people.
